When you think you had seen it all … Surprise yourself!
A tour packed with very different moments. A tour to change the perception about Lisbon, showing more of what composes it ..
One of the most modern areas of the city, and worth the visit, is Parque das Nações. It was built at the end of the 90’s along the Tagus River and looks closely at the Vasco da Gama Bridge (the second longest in Europe). An area of the city that, from an architectonic and urbanistic point of view, surprises us with its green areas and emblematic buildings (such as Oriente Station, Oceanarium, Portugal Pavilion, the Casino and many more).
But there is much more to show you on the way….
Let’s get to know surprising typical areas of Lisbon, such as Marvila, Beato and Poço do Bispo. Until the nineteenth century there were agricultural fields, bathed by the Tagus, that supplied the markets of the city. There are also ancient palaces and convents, memories of other times. With industrialization, it was the location of many factories, large warehouses but also working-class neighborhoods. Today it reveals itself as a new cultural center that develops independently of the phenomenon of tourism, with lots of street art, creative and technological companies, art galleries, breweries, restaurants, shops …
Our route will cover
