It is time to discover the sweetness of Belém through an essentially flat route, full of history, parallel to the river but transversal in its importance to the city and country.
We will cycle through many places of interest where you can admire the heritage and monuments of the city, including outstanding and magnificent examples of the “Manueline" style. Without losing the opportunity to know the new social and cultural dynamics of the city, we can also try an old convent sweets’ recipe.

This route was designed in order to enhance your visit to Lisbon and to the area of Belém. Until we reach this area, where the Tagus River (Tejo, in portuguese) meets the Atlantic Ocean, we will show you a lot more. On the way, we offer the possibility of discovering historic squares, old streets, and areas with particular dynamics of change.
Let’s cross the famous pink street (Pink Street) which became a reference to the city’s nightlife and meet Lx factory which was built in a former industrial complex and it’s nowadays a reference center of the cultural and artistic life of Lisbon .
We will pass under the Bridge 25 Abril and continue to Belém to discover all the heritage and history of this area of ​​the city, but also the factory of the original and famous custard tarts.

We will return along the bike path towards Praça do Comércio, by the river and enjoying wonderful and inspiring views.
In Belém we find the “main entrance" of the city that during the time of the Discoveries saw the caravels depart for India or Brazil. The Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery are two of the most important examples of Manueline architecture in Portugal, which we can enjoy in this tour, along with many other places of interest.
